Etihad pilot dies in air after take-off

An Etihad Airways pilot died onboard a flight from Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam, the airline said on Wednesday.

The flight, EY 927, was a freight service and no commercial passengers were on-board. It departed the capital at its regularly scheduled time of 5.20am and the pilot's condition deteriorated shortly after the plane was airborne.

Emirates to launch fourth daily service to Sydney, Australia

Emirates are set to introduce a fourth daily service from Dubai to Sydney from 25 March 2018, complementing its existing three daily A380 services and improving connections globally.

The new service will be operated by Emirates’ iconic A380 aircraft and will increase passenger capacity on the route by 6,846 seats a week, inbound and outbound between Sydney and Emirates’ hub in Dubai, and represents a 7.3% increase in capacity for Emirates’ Australian services.

flydubai has announced its Half-Year Results for the 2017 financial year and has reported total revenue of AED 2.5 billion (USD 689 million) an increase of 9.9% compared to the first six months of last year and a loss of AED 142.5 million (USD 38.8 million).  Historically, the trend for the second half has been stronger than the first half.

Emirates has commenced daily passenger service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Dubai International Airport, via Athens International Airport.
