Bvlgari opens 2018 Baselworld introducing the ultimate evolution of the Bvlgari saga in feminine timepieces, celebrating 100 years of jeweled ladies watches with Diva Finissima Minute Repeater. Diva Finissima Minute Repeater represents the magical union of Italian jewellery mastery and Swiss watchmaking genius. Diva Finissima Minute Repeater raises a majestic anthem to artistry by chiming the time on demand while also celebrating a century of watchmaking and jewellery expertise, masterfully expressed through daring gemsetting and a dial embellished by gold-spangled Urushi lacquer. Beating at its art is the world’s thinnest minute repeater movement in a ladies’ watch, Finissima, an evolved version of the famous world record Finissimo Minute Repeater movement presented by Bvlgari at Baselworld 2016 in the Octo collection. This watchmaking wonder celebrates the first Bvlgari creations dating back to 1918 in the form of exquisitely beautiful platinum jewellery watches adorned with magnificent diamonds.

Since then, Bvlgari has asserted itself as one of the key players in the realm of high-end ladies’ watches, notably since 2014 with its Lvcea collection. It continues the ultimate evolution of the Bvlgari saga in feminine watches with the world famous and contemporary design-acclaimed Tubogas bracelet. For the first time, Lvcea is presented with the iconic Tubogas bracelet, reminding us of Bvlgari’s heritage as a jeweller. Caressing the wrist with exquisite comfort, five new Lvcea Tubogas models bring an everyday modernity to the Lvcea universe. The slinky links of the Tubogas bracelet add a pleasing symmetry when contrasted with the perfectly round face of the Lvcea. Crafted with a jeweller’s sensibility, the result is a watch that is proudly Italian, unapologetically glamorous and forever stylish.

On the men’s side Bvlgari introduced a new world record, the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic, the thinnest self-winding watch which is additionally equipped with a tourbillon system with a 3.95mm thickness. This fourth successive record symbolizes a perfect blend of technical sophistication and aesthetic refinement. It follows the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon in 2014, the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater in 2016 and last year’s Octo Finissimo Automatic. This new landmark eloquently expresses Bvlgari’s mastery of the watchmaking art – duly acknowledged at last year’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève which rewarded both the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Skeleton and the Octo Finissimo Automatic. In just 3.95 millimetres, Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic redefines the frontiers of Haute Horlogerie. Parallel to this world record, Bvlgari introduces two new executions of Octo Finissimo Automatic in sandblasted pink gold or steel/rhodium. These new interpretations of what is today a cult-watch epitomises Italian style and propels watch design into a whole new dimension.

Bvlgari CEO, Jean-Christophe Babin, and Bvlgari Horlogerie Managing Director, Guido Terreni, led the press conference alongside several Brand Ambassadors who joined on stage: Brand Ambassador Shu Qi and the actress Laura Harrier. The press conference has been followed by the discovery of the booth highlighting Bvlgari’s unique blend of Swiss watchmaking expertise and Italian design before enjoying a cocktail gathering the celebrities and the numerous press representatives.
