Boeing on track to deliver flydubai’s first 737 MAX in 2017

Testing of the new aircraft is slated to begin in the first half of 2016.

Dubai-based low cost carrier flydubai is set to receive its inaugural Boeing 737 MAX in the second half of 2017, the Seattle-based manufacturer has confirmed.

Boeing began the production process for its new aircraft last week with wing design at its 737 factory in Renton.

The first aircraft is slated for completion by the end of this year, and testing is expected to begin in the first half of 2016.

The deal will help boost Emirates network in France and ease connectivity for passengers.

Dubai carrier Emirates has signed a codeshare deal with SNCF, France’s National Railway Company, allowing passengers to travel on air and rail services in the country via a single ticket.
