Emirates celebrates five years in Spain with new A380 service to Madrid

Emirates’ A380 route network has been extended even further with the launch of a daily A380 flight to Madrid yesterday, the 35th international A380 destination on the airline’s network.

Emirates is the first airline to offer a scheduled A380 service to Madrid which coincides with the five year anniversary of the airline’s Spanish operations. 20% increase in hotel stays and over 5,000 rooms in the pipeline for Abu Dhabi

A new report published by JLL for The Hotel Show Dubai 2015 reveals that the Abu Dhabi hotel industry is experiencing positive growth with 5,200 rooms in the pipeline for 2017. 2,300 rooms are set to enter the market by the end of 2015 alone.

 The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (ADTCA) also report a 20% increase in hotel guests in the first quarter of 2015 compared to Q1 figures from 2014.

Leading luxury hotel and resort marketing specialist SweetBeam has today revealed its latest hotel industry intelligence. The  results demonstrate the likely revenue increase due to the expected surge in family visitors to Dubai in the run up to 2020.

Beijing and Almaty await 2022 Winter Olympic decision

The International Olympic committee will decide the host city for the 2022 Winter Olympics on Friday in Kuala Lumpur. The IOC members will choose between China’s capital Beijing and the Kazakh city of Almaty.

Microsoft launched its Windows 10 operating system on Wednesday, hailing the return of much-missed “Start” menu.

Windows 10 can run across PCs, tablets and smartphones and features include a new search function, faster browsing, personalized gaming and an easier interface.
