Gold on 27 will offer an array of specialised cocktails

Dubai-based luxury hotel Burj Al Arab will open a new ‘gold’ bar on its highest floor next week.

Gold On 27 will feature an art deco design with textured walls ‘shimmering’ with gold and crafted lighting effects.

The bar will offer an array of specialised cocktails blended with premium brands and a wide list of ingredients with the team of mixologists headed up by bar general manager Paul Bradley.

Blends include Light Sweet Crude (using foie gras and blackened truffle oil), Scent of the Souk (using oud oil, rosemary and spices) and A Ghaaf, a Goat and a Camel (using goat cheese foam). The bar will not offer a food menu.

Resident DJ Darko De Jan will play deep, soulful house and lounge.

Burj Al Arab Jumeirah general manager Anthony McHale said: “This venue has been 18 months in the making from concept to completion and represents an incomparable addition to Dubai’s nightlife.”

Dubai residents and visitors will be able to make bookings for Gold On 27 through an app, available on both Android and iOS.

The booking is then activated upon arrival at the entrance to the hotel, allowing access to the property and the bar on the 27th floor.

Gold On 27 Bar general manager Paul Bradley said: “Our team of expert mixologists has put a huge amount of thought into the menu and we will consistently be pushing the boundaries with ingredients, flavours and theatre to bring the menu to life.

“The combination of the venue’s stylish interior design, exhilarating views, attentive and highly personalised service, as well as music from legendary DJ Darko De Jan, makes Gold On 27 a true destination of distinction, as well as a defining social experience.”

Gold On 27 will officially open to the public on April 8 and will remain open everyday from 6pm to 1am, with live DJ between 8pm and 1am.

The bar offers individual and booth arrangements and can also be sectioned off to accommodate private events.
