Foreign Ministers of UAE and Uzbekistan met during UN General Assembly

 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation continued on Friday his meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the 71st UN General Assembly meetings in New York.

Sheikh Abdullah met separately with the foreign ministers; Ibrahim Ghandour of Sudan, Susana Malcorra of Argentina, Retno Marsudi of Indonesia, Peter Szijjarto of Hungary, Oldemiro Baloi of Mozambique, Abdulaziz Kamilov of Uzbekistan, Anifah Haji Aman of Malaysia, Perfecto Yasay of Philippines and Borge Brende of Norway.

The meetings touched on UAE's bilateral ties with the respective countries and ways to enhance them.

During the meetings, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted UAE's position towards current regional and international developments of mutual interest and exchanged views with them on the regional issues, including the topics on the UN General Assembly meetings' agenda.

During their meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Oldemiro Baloi, Foreign Minister of Mozambique, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations.

The meetings were attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, UAE's Permanent Representative to the United Nation in New York.
