Indie DIFC injected a fresh dose of personality to the heart of Dubai’s financial district on Wednesday April 6th, officially opening its doors with an intimate celebration. Offering a taste of the eclectic global cuisine accompanied by a selection of delicious international wines and spirits, the unique, laidback dining spot launched amidst a mix of funk, house and classic indie tunes.

Hidden behind a single solid door on the upper level of Gaucho, Gate Village 5, INDIE DIFC boasts a warm, rustic-chic interior, making for an inviting and friendly atmosphere, and the ideal location for a casual after work beverage or delicious meal. An alternative and edgy contribution to the DIFC hub, the concept successfully bridges the gap between work and play, attracting both professionals and experience-seekers alike. The unique layout of INDIE DIFC enables a variety of settings to suit any mood, housing a collection of individual spaces boasting their own distinctive identities. The interiors blend eras together with beautifully crafted décor, and vibrant furniture.

INDIF DIFC’s urban menu is a blend of international flavors and cooking techniques, including a selection of tapas and specialty foods with an experimental nature. Bites and sliders including Baked Samosas, Salmon Tar Tare and Tuna Tacos are a fabulous choice, with main dishes including Ravioli and Rossini JR. Reflecting the venue’s inviting atmosphere, the shareable dishes offer a little taste of each specialty. For those who suffer from a sweet-tooth syndrome, the Waffle Love-Bites and Pineapple Carpaccio are just-try’s.

INDIE DIFC was developed by the innovative hospitality group Add-Mind, who were driven by a need to introduce an alternative space amongst the otherwise conventional venues in the area. “We don’t like to put people and nightlife in neat little boxes,” states Tony Habre, CEO of Add-Mind. “We merely recognized a need in the market and aimed to fill the gap. Our aim was to offer good food and drinks, non-mainstream music and a comfortable place where people could just hang out – which is a missing concept in Dubai.”

Focusing on a wide range of genres with a highly interactive twist, DJs are selected from the local scene as well as internationally. The venue takes its passion for mixology seriously and has set up three different bars; a sake bar, cocktail bar and fresh fruit bar managed by its expert mixologists with a knack for inventing their own impromptu mixes.

Whether your reason for being there is to hang out with friends, have a casual lunch, escape the hustle and bustle of DIFC, or be inspired by a story telling atmosphere, INDIE DIFC will undoubtedly become your next spot of choice.
