Etihad Airways celebrates ten years of successful operations in China

Etihad Airways celebrates the 10th anniversary of the airlines’ operations in the China market after it launched an Abu Dhabi to Beijing service in 2008, followed by Chengdu* in 2011, Shanghai in 2012 and Hong Kong in 2015.

Etihad Airways, Swiss sign codeshare agreement

A new codeshare pact has been forged between Etihad Airways and Swiss International Air Lines.
Etihad Airways will have its EY flight code on SWISS services between Geneva and Zurich, two key gateway cities in Switzerland from Abu Dhabi.
SWISS will market its LX code on Etihad Airways’ service between Zurich and Abu Dhabi, offering its passengers codeshare flights to and from the UAE’s capital city.
The codeshare services are available for travel from March 26.

Thai Airways ban obese flyers and young kids from business class on new Dreamliner

Thai Airways International (THAI) says the limit on waist sizes for passengers, and ban on carrying infants on laps, in business class on its two Boeing 787-9 aircraft is a consequence of the installation of seat belt airbags for safety.
The national carrier added the two Boeing Dreamliners to its fleet in September last year and the aircraft manufacturer had installed new airbags on seatbelts for business class seats.

Emirates announced its plan to launch a new daily service from Dubai to Auckland via the island of Bali, Indonesia, starting from 14 June 2018.

Emirates, the world’s best airline according to TripAdvisor 2017, today announced its plan to launch a new, five times a week, service from Dubai to Santiago International Airport (SCL), via the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, starting on July 5, 2018.

Emirates will introduce a new non-stop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Dubai from 1 June 2018, adding to its existing daily flight which operates with a stop in Athens, Greece.
