Art4you brings heritage and culture exhibition of Emirati and International artists at Ahmedia Art Gallery

From Oct 18 - Nov 4, 2018, the Ahmedia Art Gallery will showcase the largest ever exhibition of artworks by Emirati artists and international artworks.

This event brings together the UAE’s leading contemporary arts practitioners and UAE-based different nationality artists to reflect upon the heritage. Around 45 art pieces from the community will be displayed at the exhibition.

 “This art exhibition is a celebration of our diversity and acknowledgment of the contributions of our growing community in our nation. A groundbreaking 22 of the participating artists will be there at the opening of the exhibition, also marking the first time that Fine Art Expert Emirati artists are also represented in group with UAE themed portraits and culture works,” said Jesno Jackson, founder of Art4you Gallery.

Art4you gallery, a non-profit organization for Artists by the Curator and artist Jesno Jackson, offers platforms for creative talent to showcase their creative output in its diverse ways.

Exploring the theme, "HEART OF HERITAGE", celebrates the creativity, inspiration, cultural heritage, and art made by artists from UAE. It also shows a rare glimpse into the UAE’s history and diversity while considering significant contemporary questions of heritage and identity. The theme helps to showcase the Arab culture and heritage in HERITAGE space.

The exhibition brings together the UAE’s leading renowned artists : Ahmed Abdullah Al Dossary, Ahmed Rukni, Khulood Al Jabri, Amal Bin Lootah, Ahmed Al Ameri, Reem Al Subey with other nationality artists; Elizabeth Bruce(Scotland), Hadeel (Jordan), Smahane Drissi(Morocco), Anjali Babu(Oman), Jaya(Oman), Ruxeena Mustafa(India) ,Prachie Shah(India),Alejandra(mexico), Nandini Bajekal(Singapore),Jalal Abusamaa(India), Jesno Jackson(India), Maria baj(Pakistan),  to reflect upon the nation from individual artistic perspectives on heritage.

The exhibition is divided in seven themes: Nation & Unity, Geography & Nature, Architecture & Urbanism, Portraiture & Identity, Religion & Spirituality, Language & Calligraphy and Tradition & Heritage. These areas summarise the diverse topics and issues that the featured artists deal with and that continue to be of significant interest in their ongoing creative practice.UAE is filled with breathtaking architecture as well as subjects that include calligraphy, desert, skyscrapers, palm trees, buildings, mosques, dhows,forts, camels, plants, horse, falcon and even rulers of UAE.

The exhibition includes specially commissioned works by emerging, renowned and established artists. The exhibition presents a variety of mediums: sculpture, photography, land art, painting, mixed media, calligraphy and new takes on traditional art that captures the ever-changing face of the visual arts in the United Arab Emirates today.

School groups and children will have the opportunity to take part in engaging and creative workshops led by participating artists during the exhibition days.

The show is open to public and welcomes art lovers and artists alike to visit the show.
