Eating Out in Dubai: the very best places to grab a bite in Mall of the Emirates

In a city continuously ranked as one of the best places in the region to visit for food, it comes as no surprise that Dubai is heaving with top spots to eat out.

The culinary offerings are truly endless, and at times, overwhelming – where should a hungry diner begin?

Après

While you might not expect to be overlooking vistas of snowy slopes while you dine in the sunny UAE, this is what you’ll find at Après in Mall of the Emirates.

From the Alpine-inspired ski-lodge setting of the restaurant, your little ones will love soaking up all the fun of Ski Dubai, the Middle East’s first snow park and one of the top Dubai attractions.

On the food front, there’s something for everyone ranging from wood-fired pizzas and Swiss cheese fondue (a top menu hit), to gourmet burgers and enough grilled meats to satisfy all your carnivore cravings.

Do not leave without sampling something sweet from the dessert menu – the warm apple strudel is a real treat!

Best for: A delicious bite overlooking Ski Dubai.

Azkadenya

With quirky vintage-inspired décor – think retro TV screens and pop art prints of renowned Arabic artists covering the walls – this casual dining chain serves up modern Middle Eastern cuisine.

Located just a few steps away from VOX Cinemas on the second level of the mall, Azkadenya is one of our favourite spots to enjoy a delicious meal before catching a movie. We recommend trying one of the fresh oven-baked manaeesh bread or the makmour baitnjan (fried eggplant with veggies) followed by the chargrilled chicken shish tawook.

Best for: A pre-movie meal with family and friends.

Eat Greek

This Greek kouzina never fails to entice the masses thanks to its broad menu of Mediterranean platters in a relaxed atmosphere.

While the vibe remains cosy, the restaurant space is generous with plenty of seating either overlooking the hustle and bustle of the shop floors or inside towards the open kitchen, with views of the culinary team cooking up a storm.

Expect authentic dishes with a twist in the form of loaded pita wraps, an array of fresh Greek-style salads, burgers, seafood grills – and, to boot, one of the very best meaty moussakas in town!

Best for: A family-friendly feast bursting with Greek flavours.
